This optimizes the loading of trucks, reduces trips to a scale and avoids overloads, underloads and costly fines.
An easy-to-use LCD display with simple to follow icons provides easy monitoring, collection and storage of the loads, products, customer data and a variety of detailed information for users and managers. Best of all, weighing is automatic and does not require operators to push buttons or place the bucket in a fixed position to weigh materials.
Up to four machine calibrations can be recorded on a single display indicator. This means that a single indicator can be moved from loader to loader as needed. The indicator represents 2/3 of the total cost of the weighing system package, so four loaders can share a single indicator for the cost of two complete systems. The WLS-1 supports the following databases:
- 1,000 different customers with name, address and more
- 500 truck identifications
- 200 types of materials with names
- 100 projects
- 50 operators

The 720i weight indicator is Rice Lake’s response to efficiently and reliably manage diverse control systems, interface with operators, integrate with peripheral equipment and capture weight-related data. With programmability and database storage, the 720i is an intelligent, flexible, all-around indicator ideal for a wide variety of weighing applications from basic weighing and data collection to recipe formulation, inventory management and traceability.
This weight-based control system is ideal for filling and discharging; multi-ingredient, multi-recipe, with sequential or simultaneous events. For large applications, the onboard 8 I/O can be increased to 32 I/O.
The graphic display includes an easy-to-read operator prompt line and four soft keys for efficient, convenient operator use or for easily customizing operational tasks, keyed inputs or selections.
Two standard bi-directional serial ports, a remote keyboard port and an option card slot, make the 720i suitable for a variety of applications. There are 24 customizable demand formats and one continuous format, which are integrated with variable fields. Whether transmitting point-to-point tickets, labels, reports or communicating with network devices, the 720i is powerful.
The configurable database has 256 KB of memory and up to eight unique databases. Each can be sized for as many as 20 columns and any number of records that are required.
