Under the guidance of industry experts, students are taught a systematic and methodical approach to diagnosing scale problems. Review scale mechanics, load cells, indicators, scale system connections, as well as other concepts like batching, interfacing, and data recording. ES-222 is for students that are ready to gain more confidence, knowledge and skill in troubleshooting.
ES-111 Fundamentals of Electronic Systems
September 14-18
This 4 ½-day course provides extensive hands-on training on calibration, configuration, and serial interfacing of electronic components, from load cells and indicators to printers and peripherals. Seminar topics include mechanical scale basics, electronic basics, load cell theory/trimming, electrostatic discharge protection and power conditioning, digital weight indicators, load introduction, data collection and troubleshooting. |

Study the Label
A recent study published by the National Library of Medicine found a number of potential problems, including prescribing medication that is not labeled for use in children, discrepancies in published dosing recommendations for many medications, unclear guidelines on use of adult dosing recommendations for children of different ages and weights, and the lack of readily available documented weights to determine appropriate weight-based doses for children.
