Our Metrology Services

Rice Lake offers three different certificates to accompany your weight calibration services. Depending on your application, you may be required to provide a certain level of certification. Always ensure you are requesting the correct certificate for your use. Rice Lake’s metrology staff can help guide your certificate decision, but ultimately, we request you provide the level of traceability and accuracy needed for your calibration services.

Rice Lake Metrology Lab

Our metrology lab in Rice Lake, Wisconsin has been providing quality mass calibration services to Rice Lake Weighing Systems customers for more than two decades with the weight and calibration industry’s only metrology lab with a four-day turnaround. The Rice Lake, Wisconsin lab is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (Calibration Lab Code 105001-0), an accreditation program by NIST providing unbiased third-party laboratory evaluation, as well as the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA 4363.01). Our metrology lab staff has more than 200 years of combined experience and includes experts in the field of weight recalibration and certification, including the manufacture of custom weights in any size or value.

Concord Metrology Lab

Our Concord, California metrology lab (formerly Heusser Neweigh) is a state-of-the-art metrology lab committed to delivering the latest calibration methodology with the most precise calibrations. The lab’s professional metrologists frequently attend and participate in NIST training, conferences, seminars and other educational opportunities. Our Concord, California lab is also active in the NIST Western Regional Measurement Assurance Program (WRAP), the National Conference of Standards Laboratories International (NCSL International), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). This lab is also accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA 1823.01) and the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (Calibration Lab Code 600169-0).
