Metal Detector

Eriez’ highly sensitive X8 Metal Detector detects small ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel metal contaminants in packaged and bulk flow applications.

The X8's performance, combined with its dependability, feature-packed controls, and price, makes it one of the best values on the market today. The rugged, reliable X8 Metal Detector features an extra-large, easy-to-use capacitive touchscreen and high-pressure washdown construction.

Eriez® PrecisionGuard X8 Metal Detector

Display:
10.1 in (257 mm) capacitive touchscreen

Inputs:
Eight configurable (for photo eyes, remote emergency stop, etc.) that can be set to active high or active low

Outputs:
4 programmable “Form C” (NO-C-NC) relays rated at 5 A up to 250 VAC, 30 VDC each.
5 programmable “Form A” (SPST-NO) solid state relay outputs rated at 500 mA up to 40 VDC. These five outputs can be wired as NPN or PNP. The output can be set to NO or NC under normal running conditions.

Integral: 14 °F to 120 °F (-10 °C to 49 °C)
Remote: 14 °F to 130 °F (-10 °C to 54 °C)
