NIST Handbook 44 and NIST Handbook 112, developed by the National Conference on Weights and Measures, ensure fairness and equity in the marketplace by offering guidelines for accurate and traceable measurements when adopted by federal, state and local jurisdictions. In this class, students will cover the sections of the NIST handbooks that are applicable to the scale industry and scale technicians working in the field.
